Hope and Verse publishes prayers and Scripture for every season of life. We write for the moments when someone wants to talk to God but can’t find the words: a hospital waiting room, a worried night, a child who needs prayer, or a quiet morning before the day begins. Every page is built to give that reader something she can use right away, a prayer she can pray and the verses that meet her where she is.
What We Publish
Each article focuses on one specific need and follows the same pattern. It opens by naming the moment the reader is in, offers a written prayer she can pray right then, and shares the Bible verses that speak to it. Every verse comes with a plain explanation of what it meant when it was written and what it means for her life today, because a verse is easier to hold onto when you understand it.
Our content is organized into two collections. Prayers starts with our guide on how to pray and includes prayers for strength, prayers for anxiety, and prayers for family. Bible Verses gathers Scripture by topic, including Bible verses about healing and Bible verses about love. Free printables, prayer cards, and phone wallpapers are available throughout the site so readers can keep the words close.
Our Editorial Standards
Hope and Verse is Scripture-centered and nondenominational. We focus on what Christians across traditions share and stay out of denominational debates, so any reader can feel at home here.
We quote the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) throughout the site. Every verse is checked word for word against the CSB text before a page is published, and each one links to its full passage so readers can see it in context. When a page compares translations, we may show the King James Version alongside the CSB.
Our prayers are written in plain, everyday language, the way a person talks to God at the kitchen table. They never promise a specific outcome, such as healing or protection, because we won’t promise what only God can decide. We also never present prayer as a replacement for medical care, counseling, or other help, and we encourage readers to seek that help whenever they need it.
If you find an error in a verse, a reference, or anything else on the site, please let us know through our Contact page. We review every correction and update the page.
